Individual Packages
At Snap Academics we offer two types of individual (one-to-one) support packages that are available year-round.
Launch Package and Comprehensive Package. Each package honors the fact that not all students and families need the exact same services and counseling. We aim to be dynamic and responsive in our levels of support and in the amount we charge for each package.
In addition to these packages, we are also able to work with parents to find a customized set of services at a price point that is manageable. We offer a few income-based, sliding scale spots every application season, particularly for students who will be the first in their family to attend college. LAUNCH PACKAGE
The Launch Package is ideal for students who need help only with their college essays. We work one-on-one with students to develop essay topics for the UC applications as well as all private colleges via the Common Application. The coach helps students to generate ideas for all essays including school-specific supplemental essays. The student writes multiple drafts and the coach edits the essays in collaboration with the students so that the final essays represent the strongest essays the student can produce at this time in his/her life.

COMPREHENSIVE PACKAGE
The comprehensive package is appropriate for students who need weekly (and sometimes bi-weekly) check-ins in order to stay on track and meet application deadlines. Busy families and those seeking to “outsource” the regular nagging would be advised to select the comprehensive package. Our counselors act as a buffer between students and their parents in terms of application deadline management so parents can focus full energy and time on offering support and encouragement. The comprehensive package includes college selection, the creation of a college list representing a balance of tuition costs and selectivity, deadline management, application editing, essay topic generation, and close edits to each essay. We offer families information about merit-based financial aid and scholarships. Students can enroll in the comprehensive package in their 11th or 12th-grade year.

Small Group and Application Bootcamps (Summer & School Breaks)
Available in San Francisco Bay Area
Some students do their best work in intensive, small-group, in-person settings. We offer week-long sessions the summer in San Francisco and Oakland, CA. Students who attend a Snap Academics’ weeklong course will leave the week with completed Common Applications and CA state university/ UC applications, finished essay drafts, and a personalized calendar with deadlines, due dates, and next steps.
Students receive a one-on-one consultation for college selection, essay draft revision, and one edit of applications before they are submitted. Students who attend the bootcamp style week-long classes report feeling that they’ve accomplished months worth of work in just one week! The small group sessions are ideal for families who don’t want the application process to drag on for months and for students who need a concentrated block of time and the energy of other students to successfully complete the college selection and application process. Believe it or not, our small group sessions are fun and students usually end up bonding and forming strong relationships with their teacher-counselor, essay coach, and peers.
Each small group session is run by a counselor, application coach, and essay instructor/editor. Classes are limited to 10 students.
